The flight was originally scheduled to depart at 5:15pm, but has been delayed until 8:30pm. This information was as of 5:55 PM - February 17, 2006 ET

True, it has been delayed. ExpressJet Airlines D/B/A Continental Express flt 2782 is on an ATC air traffic "flow" hold/delay. (Metering of arrivals into a given airport.) Get departure updates (flow times can change and an earlier release could happen or the proposed departure could be pushed farther back) and check progress after departure at the Continental website- http://www.continental.com/travel/tcFlightAndGate.asp EJT was off the ground at 06:10PM local with an ETA in EWR of 07:28PM local.
