least expensive way to get to cabo san lucas, mexico from newark, nj in feb with no stops?
...need a direct flight from newark airport or surrounding (jfk, philadelphia) to cabo san lucas (airport; cabo) in february...can't find anything less than $1100...per person!! any help is appreciated....there are 4 of us..

I don't think you are going to find anything much cheaper... $1100 in FEBRUARY... which is the HEIGHT of the TOURIST SEASON... sounds about RIGHT.. maybe even a bit low.

You are best off talking to a travel agent. They would have the cheapest and best flight packages. Only the package deals offer direct flights. You may want to opt out and take a flight with 1 or more stops to get the cheapest. Good luck.

I just check expedia, and there isn't non stops, but Continental has round trip with one stop in Houston for $604. There is one with 2 stops for $451 I will recommend you to subscribe in a news letter, to get bargains every week. Look in Mexicana or Aeromexico, they have direct flights to Mexico City, and then connect to SJD, maybe is cheaper, and drinks and food are free.

My suggestion is to try kayak, a meta-search site that utilizes scours all the other travel sites (expedia, travelocity, and the airlines' own sites). I always comparison shop when I travel, and kayak ALWAYS beats the usual suspects.
