what is the easiest way to get from JFK to newark airport

what is the easiest way to get from JFK to newark airport ?
I have approx 3.5 hours from landing on a flight into JFK to get to Newark to check in for a connecting flight. I want to avoid using a taxi if possible.

To take the E train to JFK

Look up New York Airport Service. They have a shuttle that goes between all the major airports- Newark should be one of them. I got from Laguardia to JFK in about 15 minutes- cost about $14 for one way. As long as your first flight isn't delayed substantially you'd have enough time to get there.

My friend, the fastest way will be by taking the LIRR to Penn Station, then the NJ Transit from Penn Station to Newark Airport. Here how to get from JFK to EWR by rail. Step 1: take the Airtrain from the terminal to Jamaica Station. Please listen for the announcement "Station D: Jamaica Station." Step 2: at Jamaica Station, purchase a $5 MetroCard from the MetroCard Vending Machine, and exit the Airtrain system into Jamaica Station. The $5 will be deducted from the MetroCard, when exiting the Airtrain system. Step 3: Once thought turnstile (faregate), follow the directional signs to the Long Island Railroad. Purchase you're LIRR ticket from the ticket machines on the pedestrian bridge overlooking the platform. An off peak ticket from Jamaica Station to Penn Station is $5.25. If you're arriving on a weekends, you can purchase a CityTicket for $3.25. Once you purchase your ticket, look at the display board on the pedestrian bridge for the train heading to Penn Station. Step 4: once at Penn Station, follow the directional sign to the Amtrak/NJ Transit concourse. Purchase your NJ Transit rail ticket from either the ticket machine or the ticket window and the take either Northeast Corridor of South Jersey Coast Line from Penn Station to Newark-Liberty International Airport. Step 5: at Newark-Liberty International Airport, transfer to the Newark Airtrain, which will take you from the train station to the airport terminals. Please hold on to your NJ Transit rail ticket, because that will be your proof of transfer. I hope this information is very helpful.
